With grounds encompassing orchards, gardens, and a winery spread over 120 acres, Warwick Valley Winery was established more than 25 years ago by a physician-turned-winemaker and a French Culinary Institute grad, who serves as its executive chef today. In addition to its wines, Warwick offers a vast selection of hard ciders (it’s the oldest cidery in the state); pick-your-own apples on orchards which grow 65 heirloom and modern varieties; an onsite cafe featuring locally-sourced, farm grown ingredients; and the largest East Coast based craft distillery (the first since Prohibition) which produces gin, bourbon, cordials, and port.

The selection of wines include chardonnay, gewürztraminer, dry rosé, riesling, pinot noir, and cabernet franc. Self-guided tasting flights are currently available with outdoor seating (masks are required, the winery does not accept reservations). Plus, Warwick, which has hosted music festivals since its founding and usually has events year-round, recently resumed its live music roster with weekend shows.
