Washington School House Hotel

San Diego

Originally constructed in 1889, this house of the once-learned and now-dead is wrapping up renovations to fancify the interior, resulting in a swanky bridge between the past and present that includes a lobby housing a 10ft antique mirror from a French opera house and a raging fireplace below a crystal-blinged antler chandelier, plus a guest-only ski lounge that's “unlike anything [you]'ve ever experienced”, which is a bold statement considering you've been to Legoland twice.
