Pok Pok’s Andy Ricker is the man behind Richmond’s Whiskey Soda Lounge, a whiskey-centric Thai bar specializing in aahaan kap klaem (Thai bar snacks) and kuaytiaw (Thai noodle dishes). The Lounge is across the street from its sister restaurant, and attracts crowds waiting to dine at Pok Pok as well as those just looking for a light bite (or a few orders of Ike’s Vietnamese Fish Sauce Wings), whiskey flights, and Thai pop music. The beverage list -- whiskey focused as the name suggests -- is also inclusive a craft cocktail list featuring their house Som drinking vinegars and house-infused spirits. The vinegars are nationally acclaimed, and available on their own, with soda, and for sale by the bottle.
