The Best Pizza Spots in San Francisco
In normal times, Zero Zero is less of a “pizza spot” and more of a slightly fancy restaurant that serves really good pizza, which makes it a perfect option when you want to dine with a group of friends or enjoy dinner with a date. And -- be prepared to be shocked -- that’s actually an option right now since the restaurant is offering indoor dining (at 25% capacity). But indoor dining is not the only option: There’s also takeout, delivery, and an outdoor parklet. The latter is our preferred place to enjoy the (more or less) Neapolitan-style pizza, which always comes out of the oven with a crust that has a few blackened blisters, and the perfect ratio of crunch (just enough) to chew. There are 10 pizzas on the menu, many of which are named after SF streets and neighborhoods, but the margherita is the one that wins our hearts again and again. Lately, we’ve also been adding a pasta dish to or order, plus the soft serve, and fine: also an order of cannolis. Zero Zero also has a great cocktail list, a couple of which you can get bottled to-go and right now is offering a couple of flash frozen pizzas, the perfect addition to your order so you can take comfort in knowing there’s always one waiting for you in the freezer. (Until you eat it, anyway.)
How to order: Outdoor dining is available Tuesday through Saturday for lunch (12pm to 2pm) and dinner (5pm to 9pm). Indoor dining is available Tuesday through Saturday starting at 5pm (with an aperitivo hour outside at 4pm). To-go orders are available Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 2pm and 4pm to 9pm and delivery is available Tuesday through Sunday from 4pm to 9pm.
