The 14 Best Burger Joints in Dallas
Sometimes the best burgers are found in unexpected places—like pizza places. And despite its focus on the round Italian staple, Zoli’s O. D. Burger (Obligatory Dallas Burger) is one of the best in town. This delicious play on the Big Mac will have you diving head-first into a chuck-brisket-short rib blend on a sesame-potato bun, with American cheese, cheddar cheese, horseradish pickles, and Zoli sauce, a mashup of mustard, mayo, and ketchup. If you’re feeling decadent, add fried mozzarella and soppressata marmalade for an extra $3.
This Cane Rosso spin-off churns out New York-style pies and other East Coast specialties under the watchful eye of many a painted Star Wars character gracing the walls. The menu features a whopping 31 different toppings for create-your-own pies, or you can always choose from a dozen-plus chef-curated combinations. Our recommendation? The Uncle Joe, a deceptively simple mingling of shaved red onion, garlic, thinly sliced tomatoes, and olive oil. Take-and-bake pies have also proved a big hit.
How to book: Stop by for first come, first served seating, or get delivery via Uber Eats.
Part of Jay Jerrier’s pizza empire (Cane Rosso, Thunderbird Pies), Zoli’s is a fun-loving New York-style pizza joint that dishes up a lot more than just pizza. Sandwiches, pastas, and a surprisingly great burger round out the menu. But, that being said, get some pizza—the perfectly chewy crust and thoughtful toppings turn bad days into good days and good days into better days. Options include round or square pies topped with everything from local Luscher’s sausage and soppressata marmalade to habanero honey, or choose your own adventure and build one to your very own specifications.
