Narragansett Re-Released Their 1975 Can From 'Jaws'

To celebrate over three decades of making people horribly afraid of the beach, New England's favorite son, Narragansett, just dropped the 1975 can design made famous from the movie Jaws. For those who don't remember the beer's iconic cameo, Quint crushes the can in his hand shortly before he's eaten by a gigantic killer fish. Yikes.

For the entire summer, all 12, 18, and 30-packs of the 12-ounce cans will sport the classic design from 1975. Best part, though? 'Gansett is using this promotion to allow fans to "adopt" and name a shark with the purchase of a satellite tag through the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science...which is just perfectly ironic.

Using the hashtag #NameTheShark will sponsor the purchase of a tracking buoy off the coast of Cape Cod, which will hopefully keep incidents like the one in the video above from happening again.
