Rocky Mountain Oyster Stout — beer made from severed bull testicles — sounds like a sick joke... and that's actually how it started. Last April Fools' Day, Denver's Wynkoop Brewing Company released a video promoting a new beer that was chock full o'bull testicles. Obviously as a prank — because who'd want to drink testicle beer? Apparently everyone in Colorado. The response to the video was so overwhelmingly positive that the company decided to do it for real and brew Rocky Mountain Oyster Stout for real.
This Chinese Festival Is Like 'Frozen' Come to Life
The recipe for the ballsy 7.5% ABV brew contains roasted barley, seven specialty Colorado malts, Styrian Goldings hops, and 25 pounds of freshly sliced and roasted bull testicles. It's a bold, robust stout with notes of chocolate, espresso, and nuts (!). It just goes to show you that you should never underestimate the public's bloodlust for fake products — we're lookin' at you, Nerf Nuke!
